And dollars seem square so I never play around but I’m clownin on others, I used to tell my mother Don’t frown cuz your son will get it figured out. And I always got it done so she never wondered how, She used to say I came from the clouds, Cuz even in my sleep, I was speakin’ out loud. Angel of hip-hop, higher than the tip top ’til I realized it had never been topped. Used to be scared to stand out for fear of being seen, as the light in the dark era. But now the whole world gon’ hear about my dream. And everything in life couldn’t seem much clearer. My drive drove me damn near insane, no Cali. A Visit from Grandma

This past Sunday my Grandma stopped by the house while I was wrestling the internet and my provider. She came inside and immediately started complaining about how she is so frustrated because everybody’s Christmas list is shared via email and how she has zero interest in learning how “that whole deal” works. So she said that like it or not people might receive gifts that they didn’t ask for and that is how that is going to work. I told her that I could set up an email account for her and when people emailed her I could call her and read it to her. In retrospect, I’m not sure that was a good idea. She then started explaining how she has been driving around for the last 2 hours looking for G-Rides to get me a gift certificate for x-mas. She said that she went to where they used to be located and asked some randoms where they moved to. The randoms told her that G-Rides is now located on Cox road. So she has been driving up and down Cox rd for a couple hours looking for a store that is actually located on Cincinnati-Dayton rd. I pulled up google maps and showed her exactly where they are located and explained why I like to support my local board shop and who those dudes are. She cut me off about half way through my explanation and said that she wanted to see some sunglasses and how she needs an extra pair to keep in the car. I went downstairs and came up with maybe 10 different styles and colors and she tried all of them on and told me in so many words why each pair sucked and in the end she picked out the exact same pair that she already has and wore them inside for the rest of her visit with me. It was awesome. Grandmas are awesome.

Major Awards

This past Wednesday our good buddy and soon to be gentleman Austin Pastura was the recipient of two Major Awards. The first award he received in spectacular fashion was “the largest frontside flip” to date inside the barno®. This is pictured above. I cant say that this was landed upon first try because it wasn’t. Bottom line is that it happened and it was massive. last night i went to the cable, upon arival aaron and austin were kicked back, pete’s fishing and there’s bubbles coming up in the lake. i was like did you get an airator? pete’s said nope, it’s brent in the scuba gear. i took the profits this month and got us scuba gear and a golf cart. then i sessioned the shit out of the flat rail and pete picked me up over and over. also john ruark called yesterday and was talking about the video again and how perfect the song was. he said that he and dieter are so pumped about it and they’re trying hard to put together a trip before the end of the season. last but not least my mom sent the video to one of her friends who sent it to her very ill sister who’s a boater and a big water sports fan. anyway her name is sandy and she can’t talk and hasn’t smiled for months until she watched our video. see you tommorow rocket bomber. – troy
