first time taking the boat out every year is kind of an interesting thing. the boat has been neglected in storage for the whole winter and then we dumping it in cold ass water while running gas that is over 5 months old. this year was no exception. the water temp was 58 and the air temp was 70. we did however all take some great sets and got an amazing sunset. lesson learned this trip; its not a great idea to light flares on your boat at night and act like they are roman candles with your speakers blaring. other boats tend to be confused by this.

With the Wake Nation Cable Park opening this saturday we have been doing some cross training so we are prepared this year. No one wants to be there out of shape and exhausted with butter to ride. for the second half of our ‘all american saturday’ we headed to target world to bust some caps off. we rented a number of guns and went through hundreds of rounds. this was so much fun, i bet we head back there sooner than later. thanks again guys, what a day.

Steelhead Fishing Trip – Spring

belgium josh as my tour guide lead me through the mean creeks of northern ohio to wrestle some monster steelhead.
Here are the things i learned on my adventure.
- Polarized sunglasses are like x-ray vision when fishing.
- Josh is an early riser. Kyle is not.
- Josh’s mini van holds a lot of stuff. seriously.
- Farting in waders can ultimately ruin your next 30-45 minutes.
- These fish are everywhere and are just waiting for me to hook them.
- Lake Erie sounds like a freight train at night.
- My thinking: 10lb fish needs 15lb fishing line to catch it.
- If you hook one of these fish in the tail or belly you will become exhausted fast. Your lesson will be learned.
- You don’t look like a local with a head camera on.

this was my first time winching and my first time on the board this year. what an interesting way to kick off the wakeskate season. you just hope your feet are set up right by the time you get to the gap or else your swimming with the tadpoles. it turned out to be a lot more fun than i was expecting and i cant wait to launch myself into those puddles again. thanks kendogg.

nothing too awesome, just testing out the new camera. i have spent a good bit of time researching how to make 60fps footage play in slow motion. apparently there is a couple ways to do it, some right some not so. i think i finally figured it out. i look forward to using this more in the summer.
